For our 2023 Black Health +Wellness Virtual Summit , we are looking for dynamic talks for our audience. Proposals should align with the following categories:

• Physical Health (includes: maternal health, black male/black female specific health concerns etc)

• Mental Health

• Faith and Spiritual Health (Ex: Examining the positive role faith plays in health)

• Financial Health 

• Social Health + Relationships 

• Holistic Health (Include Wellness, Fitness + Nutrition)

• The Black Community (Barriers, Environmental Health, Vocational Health etc)

• Self-Care 

 

Deadline for Submission: September 1st at 5PM EST

Notification of Acceptance: September15th, 2023

 

Submission Instructions And Guidelines (Please read the following information carefully)

Online submissions only (click “Apply Online” below). The online form is the preferred method. Please ensure that you give an overview of your proposed talk and select which track you feel is the best fit for your topic. 

 

If you have trouble completing the form, please message us. Please ensure that you give an overview of your talk and mention which track you feel is the best fit for your topic. Include a brief biography and contact information (phone and email). Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Please also consider sharing any links to past presentations and talks that would allow reviewers to see your presentation style.

Review And Selection Process

We are carefully reviewing all submissions to ensure the proposed topics are a good fit for this event. In the event we receive multiple submissions with a very similar topic we will go with the submission that is the best fit for this event.

Acknowledgment: Upon receipt of your submission, you will receive an e-mail acknowledgment within 1-2 business days.

 

Notifications: We will notify all submitters about the status of their submissions by September 15th, 2023.

​

Follow-up: In late September/Early October, a member of our team will contact speakers to discuss each workshop so that participants and staff can discuss details via at least one zoom call. This pre-call is required for participation.

 

All materials and presentation files for accepted speakers must be finalized and submitted to our staff no later than October 25th, 2023
