Aimee Thompson, MA, LPC

Welcome, I am the owner and founder of Counseling for Hope. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor an a qualified supervisor for the state of Texas, my license number is 73020. I have an undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science degree from Texas A&M University and Master’s Degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. My formal education has prepared me to counsel adolescents, and adults in individual as well as group settings (ie. couples or families). I am also Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained through multiple EMDR International Association approved trainings and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTP) through Evergreen Certifications.

I’m about loving Jesus, loving people, giving hope, encouraging growth, and seeking truth!  My passion is to walk with people through struggle, challenges, and difficult times.  This flows out of my own long seasons of intense physical pain, relationship struggles, and parenting challenges.  Yet, I know God wants so much more for us than what most people experience.  My desire for this website is not just about finding me as a counselor (of course that would be awesome) but about compiling resources that can help anyone (regardless of location) find gospel-centered help and hope!
